Well, the thing is, Adam, like many of us, has a very busy life that is
not devoted to FreeBSD, (or even computers in general).

In many cases, we can manage a short time slot every once in a while.

Here, "wait a few hours" means, in this case "postpone to the next
available time slot for FreeBSD stuff" which can be days, or weeks away.

These time slots cannot really be scheduled, because life happens and we
have more important stuff to do, like, take a sick child to see the
doctor, hang out the laundry, cook a meal, or simply rest.

So, please, do not assume people do bad work on FreeBSD ports on
purpose, we do what we can in the time we have. (To be clear, I am
absolutely not saying that Adam did a bad job here, he updated a port
with the informations he had at that time, which was great.)
