Updating Samba

I am currently running Samba 4.13. Since Samba 4.13.x was officially
EOL’d 20220321, I would like to upgrade. FreeBSD does not support the
latest stable release, Samba 4.17.4. I found Samba 4.16.8 in the ports
system.

Before I update to the newer version, I wonder if anyone else has done
so and if there are any gotchas I should be looking for?
