You might want to have a look at the -C switch (and maybe -S) to poudriere 
as well. It's not without pitfalls, but might be a viable option for the 
particular situation you described.

Ich glaube, es sind jetzt ungefähr noch vier oder maximal sechs Tage, an denen man völlig entspannt nicht daran denken kann, daß irgendwann Weihnachtseinkäufe zu erledigen sein werden. Danach kann man mit Aufwärmübungen beginnen, die Nerven punktgenau wegzuschmeißen, weil man es wieder einmal auf den letzten Zeitpunkt hin verschlampt hat.
