Hi Jake,

Good timing.  We just learned yesterday that FreeBSD has been accepted
to participate in Google Summer of Code 2022.  That would be a nice
opportunity to test the waters and get paid for your work.  You can see
our current list of project ideas at

sound interesting, you can contact the associated mentor for more
information.
