I've not read up on it and have not deliberately configured it, but
boot environments do seem to be present:

NAME USED AVAIL REFER MOUNTPOINT
zroot 95.7G 788G 96K /zroot
zroot/ROOT 64.3G 788G 96K none
zroot/ROOT/13.1-RELEASE-p4_2022-12-01_063800 8K 788G 11.3G /
zroot/ROOT/13.1-RELEASE-p5_2023-02-03_232552 8K 788G 27.4G /

zroot/ROOT/default 64.3G 788G 31.0G /

The system is now 13.2-STABLE FreeBSD 13.2-STABLE #0 stable/13-n254900-a836dce6d085

Many thanks for this as it's just the info I was looking for.

I think I'll first thoroughly read up on bectl, and then pkg lock rpi-firmware and uboot,
then rebuild (hopefully it'll boot) and then pkg upgrade.
